Blocksmith ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at blocksmith.training. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

1. What we collect

• Account data: Email address and hashed password when you create an account.
• Training inputs: The data you enter into the form — age, paces, rest days, injuries, etc. This is used solely to generate your training block.
• HYROX race data: If you use the race data import feature, we fetch publicly available race results from hyresult.com on your behalf. We store the extracted splits alongside your generation.
• Workout logs: Session completion status, RPE, and notes you choose to log.
• Usage analytics: We use PostHog for product analytics — page views, button clicks, and feature usage. This helps us understand how people use Blocksmith so we can improve it.

2. How we use your data

• To generate personalised training blocks based on your inputs.
• To save your blocks and workout logs to your account.
• To reference your previous blocks when generating new ones (continuity).
• To improve the product through aggregated, anonymised usage patterns.
• To send transactional emails (e.g. generation complete notifications) if you opt in.

3. What we don't do

• We don't sell your data to third parties.
• We don't use your training data for advertising.
• We don't share individual training data with anyone outside Blocksmith.

4. Third-party services

• AI providers: Your training inputs are sent to AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google) to generate your block. These providers process the data under their own privacy policies and do not retain it for training.
• PostHog: Product analytics. Hosted in the EU.
• Supabase: Authentication and database hosting.
• Stripe: Payment processing for subscriptions. We never see or store your card details.

5. Data retention

Your account data and training blocks are retained for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days. Generated training block files may be retained in backups for up to 90 days.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (session cookies) and PostHog analytics cookies. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies from third parties.

7. Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and all associated data. Email us at arthur@blocksmith.training.
